This was the sole distillery on the Isle of Arran (they opened a sister distillery in 2019 on the opposite end of the island) which enjoys warmer climate than the rest of Scotland and sees plenty of salty, ocean air influence. All the water used comes from the waterfalls of Loch na Davie just behind the distillery and they use exclusively concerto barley, unpeated. Copper-pot distilled, aged in a combination of used Sherry and Bourbon casks, then bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered, with no coloring.
