This tiny domaine has been cared for by the Bechtold family for 4 generations and several of their vineyards are in the Grand Cru villages of Alsace. They farm biodynamically (a step beyond organic, incorporating local floral and fauna) and intervene very little in the cellar. This sparkling wine is made in the same method as Champagne is mostly Chardonnay and Pinot Auxerrois (with a touch of Pinot Noir). Rich and toasty, a great alternative to Champagne at a great price.
