Bodega Chacra just might be the most exciting winery in Argentina. They are situated in the coolest growing region in the country and work with the utmost respect for the environment. They vineyards are intermingled with flowers and other crops as well as apiaries housing the very bees that not only pollinate the vines, but create the wax that seals each bottle, transporting you before you even open the wine. The name 'Sin Azufre' means that no sulfites are added at any point in the winemaking process, which originally began as an experiment to see if it was even possible. Each year this bottling gets better and more precise and this vintage was excellent; clean, focused, and utterly unique!
