Caparsa Chianti Classico Reserva 'Doccio a Matteo' 2019

This is Chianti Classico with an attitude; dark, brooding. The Caparsa estate sits at an unusually high elevation (by Tuscan standards) and the plot for this bottling faces North-West so it stays much cooler than most Chianti vineyards, and the vines here dig deep, tapping in to ancient volcanic deposits. The result is a that is concentrated, wild cherry and raspberry, with dried herbs and a ferrous undertone.
