The Matthews is a blend of 75% Cab Sauv, 13% Cab Franc, 11% Merlot, and 1% Malbec. Aged for 22 months in 96% new French oak. Dried strawberry, black currants and dark cherries with winter spices and with a touch of vanilla. Swirling enhances dark fruits, ripe figs with a touch of caramel and star anise. The palate is well structured and balanced, silky tannins with a long bramble berries finish.
