Matthiasson Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 1.5mL

Steve Matthiason is an absolute legend out in Napa for his excellent farming and old-school style of wine-making that favors freshness and balance over extraction and high-alcohol. This blend is 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot, 2% Malbec, and 1 % Petit Verdot.The nose shows abundant red fruits, lots of bright cherry along with blackberry, cranberry, mulberry, and framed with hints of mineral/herbal characters such as graphite, cedar, and pencil shavings. The palate is vibrant and fresh, with medium tannin and beautiful acidity. Decanting is highly recommended.
