Mauthia is a very small batch mezcal of 100% Cupreata agave from the only part of Mexico where it grows: the mountain slopes of the Rio Balsas basin at altitudes of 4,000-6,000ft! The agave is cooked in a shallow pit over open fire for over 5 days, then crushed and fermented naturally. It is then double distilled in a copper pot still and bottled at 50% ABV.
