The Storchi vineyards are planted in Enza Valley in Emilia-Romagna, the unofficial food capital of Italy, and this is indeed one of my favorite Italian food pairings, especially for pizza! The grapes are farmed biodynamically, and then vinified in the Champagne-method. Dry, savory, red/purple plum. A great, serious red that just happens to be sparkling!
